Bollards

The new bike lane that’s squeezed so tightly in front of the MOXI Museum got an upgrade this week – bollards.

Some say that this is the first implementation of a separated bike lane and while that’s an admirable infrastructure upgrade, the narrowing of the roadway here is a hazard. Could it be in a worse location? This is where tourists ride their bikes; unfamiliar with the quirky design and coming from the wine tasting rooms in the Funk Zone, this spot will undoubtedly be where collisions occur.
